Like so many over-hyped 'feminist' movies before her, I side-eyed all the Barbie trailers... but dammit if she didn't deliver.

Gerwig, cast and co dance with levity and gravity in such a masterful way, veiling every pointed truth in a pepto veil (so that nobody's stomach gets too upset by the absolute impossibility of womanhood). It has legs and I'm loving this summer of pink.
